Liverpool crashed out of the FA Cup 4th Round with a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Oldham Athletic. The tie started badly with Matt Smith giving Paul Dickov's side an early lead before Luis Suarez levelled. Smith restored their lead just before the break after Brad Jones had fumbled the ball before Wabara made it 3-1 early in the 2nd half. Joe Allen pulled a goal back, and Steven Gerrard struck the crossbar but the reds were unable to pull it back.
